Dueling Darlings - April

I've Got The Diva In Me....I've Got The Diva In Me.   Can you hear the theme from the song I've Got The Music In Me?   I played it on YouTube, but substituted the word diva for music.

For whatever reason, that is the song that came to mind while I was making this card.   Could it be that it is time for the Dueling Darlings to reveal their cards for April? I think so!

Remember, I've Got The Diva In Me, so our Diva theme this month is Movie Night.  Joan, sent us a way over the top themed kit this month.   There were different Graphic 45 DP's that were so cool.  She gave many images to work with in different colors.  Embellies, oh the embellies!

While I am not a huge movie buff, I usually get around to a movie eventually!   Ssshhh, don't tell anyone but I have never seen Star Wars! I guess I am just too picky when it comes to movies that I like.  I am not into sci-fi.  Do not see the point in horror.  Fantasy, not so much.  So, that leaves me with a tear jerker or laughter!

Part of our challenge this month is to list five of our favorite movies.   Just that is a difficult one for me!   So, here is what I came up with in no particular order:

An Officer and a Gentleman - now who does not like the sweep you off your feet at the end of a factory shift kinda guy?!

The Breakfast Club & Sixteen Candles - who cannot quote about half of each of these movies?!

GI Jane - did everyone not want to smack Master Chief across the face or worse, then become a kick a** girl Navy SEAL?!

Fried Green Tomatoes - you may never look at barbecue in the South the same again, but wanted to hug Idgie.

The Hangover - where to start?  There are so many funny things in this movie.  Dang!

Back to the card......I really enjoyed working with the kit that Joan sent to us.  I only added the 35 mm film strip and the accent card stock to the supplies provided.   We have a friend who loves movies, so this card will be on it's way to him.

Thanks, for stopping by to take a peek at my card.  Be sure to check out the other Dueling Darlings listed below:

Tami, your card is beautiful... your movie buff friend is going to love it! Your placement of every item is so perfect! There is so much to look at, but it isn't cluttered. I'm impressed! (When I try to put a lot on my cards, I always think they look cluttered. I need to take lessons from you, my friend!)

Awesome job!

Oh, and don't tell, but my movie watching is sort of like yours. I don't do sci-fi, horror, or fantasy either. I don't really like to watch anything too sad either.... make me laugh is my movie motto! ;)

Wow...your card is so cool...and so different...you got alot of great stuff in your kit! I love it.

I need to agree with you on your movie choices....the only one I haven't seen is GI Jane....but I am with you on all the others!

I have never seen the entire Star Wars movie, seen parts but not the whole thing. I think Spike TV has Star Wars Sunday almost every week so at least one of the movies is on DHs TV......he loves them all!

Great Job Tami!!
