Dueling Darlings - March

Top 'O the mornin' to ya!  It is time to duel with the Dazzlers and the Divas! We have a wee bit of the Irish to go 'round this time.  It should be really fun!

Barb, was our gracious hostess this month.  The Divas received a kit chalk full of green items.  So very cute, cute, cute!   Our main image was from Whipper Snapper.  We received four images to make one card, but he was so cute, I had to make four of this card.

I am sure that you have had one too, you know one of 'those' crafting days.   I had an idea in my head and was half way through creating the card and broke my paper trimmer.   Now who does that?  Certainly not me, the one who cuts one piece of paper at a time because I get all freaky deaky on frayed paper....oh wait, it did break!   So, I had to go with what I had already cut.  Is this where you tell me if I had not waited until the last minute, it would not have mattered?!

Regardless of need for a new paper trimmer, Saint Patrick's Day is Saturday. I am a quarter Irish so yes, we do have the corned beef dinner, while probably wearing some green.  My Grandma would be disappointed otherwise.  Do not make the 97 year old chase and pinch you!

Please be sure and visit the other Dueling Darlings.  Their blogs are listed on the right side bar.  I wish you the luck of the Irish for 2012!

uh-oh! Tami broke her paper trimmer! No worries, my friend, your card is so stinking cute even without having a paper trimmer to use. That WS image is darling and you've made him center stage on this card! Love it!!!

Now, be sure to celebrate on Saturday, we don't want G'ma to pinch you! ;)

LOVE!!!!!! Look at his grey beard!! SUPER!! and the brad in the middle of the clover - so many little things I would have not thought to do :) And I'm DIGGING this layout! (fair warning: totally stealing this for a swap today, lol!) Gorgeous impression on your circle frames, too - my borrowed CB barely makes a dent, but yours sure make a grand statement! This is fabulous in so many different way!!

Great card Tami!

First, I love the story about your grandmother and that made me smile. Then, the tale of your trimmer made me chuckle as I think everyone needs a couple of extra ones in their stash (or is that only me?)

Your card is very cute--I love how you used the DSP and nailhead on the shamrock is great!

So glad you liked the kit and enjoyed making your Green Irish Card!

Adorable card, Tami! Love the layout! Such a clean and simple look that really focuses on your beautifully colored and darling leprechaun! Great job even with a broken paper cutter!

Wow! How blessed to have your 97 year old grandmother still with you. Enjoy the wearing of the green and the Corned Beef dinner.

Irish you many blessings throughout the year!

Oh Tami, I love that you used white for the base. I brings everything to the forefront and pop's your image and dsp out...I love the layout and the way you used the sparkly shamrock and the jewels...great job on your card...now as for the hmmmmm..you shouldn't have waited so long...you won't hear that from me as I'm always pushing it to the limit on time...(it goes by way too fast)...and I'm with Barb on the paper trimmer thing...(I must have about 5 of them...)you never know when you might need an extra...lol..

Awesome job on your card!!!

Tami....I need to confess, I was totally going to start my blog post with the "top o the mornin'" thing but I thought I'd look like a dork writing that. I am so glad that I am not the only one that thinks that way!

Yep.....I have 4 paper cutters, all different. And yep....I cut one sheet at a time. If I get a frayed edge I run a scissors down the side to clean it up. Yep...OCD.

I do seriously love your card! I love that image, he's so cute!! Your layout is awesome and love how you put it all together!

Great job ☺ LOVE it!!

Tami, you rocked this, despite being hampered with a broken paper trimmer! (gasp, it's a tragedy to be sure)
Love the little guy and how you colored him & shaded the ground under his feet.
I actually like how the layout turned out, it makes him center stage!
LOL about your darling grandmother chasing you for a pinch!!
Hugs to my Irish friend!

Thanks so much for your sweet comment on my blog! Thought I would come visit and do the same!!
This wee little man is so sweet and I love the rhinestones and glittery shamrock embellishments!
So sorry to hear about the paper trimmer... I have two of them and I can't stand unclean cuts either. Of course, sometimes I go back and intentionally distress the edges, but that's just not the same thing!!
