I wanted to use non traditional colors, so I dug around my scraps and found some great steel gray and burgundy to work with. I had to add some bling, since Carol is my Glittah Sistah and all. My big bling was a gift from another Calendar Girl, Jeanette. The ribbon piece was recycled from a perfume gift box.
Carol asked us to share a family tradition or memory of Christmas. I do remember having to put out the perfect carrot for Rudolph. I had to shop for it. It could not be too small, as he was hungry! The carrot would go on the cookies for Santa plate. My dad would make noise on the roof for the sleigh landing after I went to bed. He would also eat the carrot making sure to leave little tooth grooves so I would think it was Rudolph.
Please take a moment and check out the other Calendar Girls creations. Their blog links are on the right side bar.
Have a great day!
