Welcome to the Calendar Girls November posting!
The CG's changed it up a bit this month. We had a choice of non traditional holidays to create from. Our task was to choose a holiday and create a card to go in theme with said holiday.
I decided upon Adopt a Senior Pet Month. I drive past our local Humane Society often. They have a great reader board this week. It states "300 singles seeking companionship, inquire within"!
I went through my image box and found this 'senior' cat image. I am not sure what company created the image, as I received it through an image swap. I used some scrap papers and colored the image up. Here is the final result:
You know the first song that came to me was Cats in the Cradle by Harry Chapin.....well, I remember my parents listening to that version. It is good, but I like the version from Ugly Kid Joe. So, if you are not out adopting a senior pet today, then you had better listen to this song and if you are lucky enough to still have one, call your Dad.
Please be sure and visit the other Calendar Girls, to see which holiday they chose to work with. Their blog links are on the right side bar.
Thanks, for stopping by!

Wonderful coloring and great design....even could be used for the eyelet challenge at 2TC this week......
Oh Tami I soo hoped someone would use this holiday and you made me SMILE to see it today! Working with a rescue center, I see so many senior pets turned in and hard to adopt and i want to keep them all! Your card is such a beauty ... Such soft coloring, like from the pages of a very fine book :) beautiful in every way!
Big hugs my fine Calender friend!!

What a great card and great non traditional holiday. Oh to be a cat and lay around without the guilt of doing so. I love the colors and layout! Well done.
Love your choice of non holiday and those little eyelet center flowers coordinate so well with your background paper. A very comforting card.
